The NFL Alumni – Philadelphia Chapter is collecting donations to support these emergency relief programs and help these food banks respond promptly to emergency food requests while maintaining existing operations. Due to COVID-19, food banks have adapted its efforts to ensure individuals and families have access to the food they need WHILE preventing the spread of the virus. This puts an extra strain on operations, but by modifying food distribution they have ensured the safety of their staff and volunteers while addressing food shortages and insecurity in the community.
