Caring for Our Community

The NFL Alumni – Philadelphia Chapter, wants to do its part in the fight against COVID-19. We can all work together to help stifle the spread of the Coronavirus.  We can aid our first responders and healthcare professionals on the front lines, work with community based organizations and support families in need and families who are grieving the loss of a loved one.  We are asking you to join us in supporting our communities and families. Make a tax-deductible donation.

No One Should Go Hungry

We are responding to the urgent call from our local food banks. In response to the unforeseen pandemic, the Food Bank of South Jersey and Philabundance (the food bank serving the Philadelphia region) is working to continue providing food for seniors and families in need. These food banks must adapt its efforts to ensure individuals and families have access to the food WHILE preventing the spread of the virus. We are supporting their efforts through donations and volunteering.

Caring for Our Health

We are donating backpacks filled with PPE supplies as an essential service to families in dire need.  The pandemic has made some of our most vulnerable families even more vulnerable.  There are many families, including homeless families, who cannot afford to buy PPE supplies but desperately need it.  We are working to help organizations who specifically serve homeless families and supply them with backpacks filled with PPE supplies.  The homeless are among the most vulnerable in this pandemic.  It is our goal to gather enough supplies to donate and provide assistance where we can.

Recently, NFL Alumni Association – Philadelphia Chapter donated to the Food Bank of South Jersey and helped distribute food boxes to a total of 213 households and 648 people, including the distribution of 260 Summer Meals boxes for children – each packed with 10 meals representing a total of 2,600 meals.

Thousands of pounds of food were distributed, including COVID-19 emergency food boxes, bringing nutrition, sustainability and hope to hundreds of families.
